Little Cats on the Loose

On 13th March 2006, the JCS kittens were finally released from their 6 month stint in quarantine. The little boy and girl have now been named Kiwi and Nyree respectively.

Despite an eventful stay at the cattery including a broken leg and ringworm, they have come out with a clean bill of health and raring to go. They are both healthy weights although Kiwi is clearly the bigger of the two and promises to be a very large feline. Upon arrival at their new home belonging to one of the JCS employees, they both assumed positions behind the sofa and wouldn’t come out for several hours. They eventually ventured forth to tear a newspaper to shreds and haven’t looked back since. One week on, they are marching around the house as though they own it, paying particular attention to net curtains and all things small and breakable. Hopefully their new lease of life will put paid to the two rather podgy bellies that had begun to develop in the cattery!
