Sturgis 2008

James Cargo are considering putting a shipping package together that could get your bike to the USA and back for the 2008 Sturgis Rally. The Rally dates are 4th to 10th August 2008.

Our objective is to make it affordable to anyone who wants to take their own bike.

We believe that this is highly achievable if there is sufficient interest. The transportation is by Sea.

We have put together a few variations for you to consider. The transit times are estimated for now but will be confirmed once the schedules are in place.

Option 1 of 4
You collect your bike from Chicago 1 week before the Rally and return it to Chicago 1 week afterwards. You will be without your bike approximately 3 weeks prior and 3 weeks afterwards. Estimated cost of £850.00 return.

You collect your bike from Chicago 1 week before the Rally and return it to Los Angeles 1 week afterwards. You will be without your bike approximately 3 weeks prior and 5 weeks afterwards. Estimated cost of £925.00.

You collect your bike from Los Angeles 1 week before the Rally and return it to Chicago 1 week afterwards. You will be without your bike approximately weeks before and 3 weeks afterwards. Estimated cost of £925.00 return.

You collect your bike from Los Angeles 1 week prior and return it to Los Angeles 1 week afterwards. You will be without your bike 5 approximately 5 weeks before and 5 weeks after. Estimated cost of £995.00 return.

Notes:

These prices are estimates and based on current costs are more likely to decrease than increase as we are constantly striving to bring them down. They are transportation costs and based on you delivering your bike to one of our depots and collecting again. We can arrange collection and delivery within the UK, the cost of this will depend on your location.

We have two depots, one in Manchester and one in London.

Insurance is not included in the price as that is value related. It is available if you require it. Prices are based on 2 wheeled motorbikes. Trikes are just as welcome, ask for prices.
