You will need a Carnet de Passage (see our link to the RAC) for South Africa. This covers most Southern African countries. Uk Passport holders don't need a Visa unless you are considering Mozambique or Zambia but Visas are available at the border crossing points. You should consult your travel clinic before travelling to South Africa to get a prescription for malaria tablets and any other advice they can give.
