The Famous Pacific Coast Highway

The longest coastal highway and probably the most varied scenery in the world. Take your time and enjoy the fabulous views. Sea Lions on the beaches. Giant Redwoods in "The Avenue of the Giants" so big that the road goes through them. Break away and cross country to Las Vegas. Or.... Time your holiday to travel right across country and join in the fun at the Sturgis Rally and then carry on to Chicago and come back from there. Have you done this already? Send us your pics, we want to put them here on the web. You don't need a Carnet for the USA unless you are thinking of going further south into South America. You will need your insurance documents. You will also need a Tri Band phone as the Duo Band phones won't work. Remember to check with your phone supplier to have your phone opened up for roaming.

ESTA: As of January 12, 2009, a valid ESTA approval is required for all Visa Waiver Program (VWP) to travel to the United States. The Department of Homeland Security, Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) is a free, automated system used to determine the eligibility of visitors to travel to the United States under the VWP.  It collects the same information as the paper I-94W form that VWP travelers fill out en route to the United States.  ESTA applications may be submitted at any time prior to travel.  An ESTA authorization generally will be valid for up to two years. Authorizations will be valid for multiple entries into the United States.  DHS recommends that travelers submit an ESTA application as soon as they begin making travel plans. SEE WEBSITE
