James Cargo gets AEO accredited
We are extremely pleased to announce that as of the 10th December 2009 we are AEO (Authorised Economic Operator) accredited.
To our U.S. Partners this is equivalent of C-TPAT (Customs – Trade Partnership Against Terrorism)
AEO Accreditation embeds extremely high levels of Security, Quality and Financial standing and means that we are a proven, trusted and compliant member of the international supply chain.
In January 2008 a new EU law came into effect that leads a two-tier international trade community. The law will be implemented over the next couple of years and will become the required standard for importers, exporters and members of the supply chain in-between.
Being AEO accredited means that we:-
Can work with Importers and Exporters who are AEO and C-TPAT accredited.
Are far less likely to incur losses or damages than our non AEO competitors.
Have fewer physical and documentary examinations by HMRC.
Get priority when goods are selected for examination.
Can deal with goods to and from countries such as USA, China and Brazil for which AEO will soon to become the required standard.
