JCS LivestockPenguins move to Weymouth
JCS were instrumental in a move of 10 Gentoo penguins from Edinburgh Zoo to the Sealife Centre in Weymouth. The birds are sharing with another groupd of Humboldt penguins in a shared enclosure in Weymouth while a new home in the London Sealife Aquarium is prepared.
We used one of our temprature controlled vehicles to keep the penguins cool on their long trip down the country. Their new enclosure has had to have been adjusted slightly with higher fences due to this species' ability to jump higher that their new enclosure-mates.
